How to crochet Grammy’s Afghan - an easy king size granny square afghan pattern built of 12 squares crocheted together in one continuous manner.

Materials:

• 5990 Yards of Worsted Weight Yarn - I used Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Light Gray, Shocking Pink and Soft Navy; Each Square used approximately 470 Yards, then the Join used an additional 350 Yards.
• H8/5mm Crochet Hook
• Tapestry Needle
• Soft Tape Measure if Gauge is Essential

Material Notes:
I did list yardage as a whole, but in my sample, I used 3 colors together. For the 1 square shown in the image, I used 467 yards of Light Gray, 22 yards of Shocking Pink and 52 yards of Soft Navy.

Time Spent:
Each square took me about 6 hours to work up -> that’s 72 hours for 12 squares. Joining all the squares took approximately 12 hours, with some breaks here and there. Grand total, approximately 84 hours worked over 6 months.
