update 07/28: Italian and russian translation added
gramps revive is worked seamlessly from the top down. First increases are worked (on both RS and WS) along the shoulders until final shoulder width is reached. At the same time the V-Neck shaping starts and continues while back and fronts are worked separately to underarm length. At the underarm, fronts and back are joined to work the body in one piece down to the split hem, where 2 contrast colored blocks are added. Stitches are then picked up around the front opening and neck to work the button band. After finishing the button band, you may want to block the cardigan (vest ;) to decide if you want to add sleeves or not - this design works absolutely great as a vest too (see images). If desired, pick up stitches around the armhole and work the sleeves top down in the round to the cuffs last. Note: As this cardigan (vest) is designed to have a lot of ease, make sure that you work the sleeves to a rather tight fit.
