I was determined to find a scarf pattern for the grand prismatic yarn that would show off the colors and
allow them to pool in a way that would illustrate the springs that the colors were based on. It took
some playing with various patterns and stitch counts, but I’m very happy with the way it turned out. It
reminds me of the hot springs meandering around the geyser basins in Yellowstone National Park.
This is a very simple reversible scarf with a single row. My scarf was knit on size 3 needles with 47
stitches. As tension may affect the pooling you may need to adjust needle size or stitch count to
achieve the effect you like.
