4/28/2012--> Updates made to the pattern on my website. Hopefully, the sole of the bootie is now quite a bit easier to make and comes out better formed. :)
There’s not really a gauge for this pattern; I created it from a pair of cowboy booties my Grandma Jean made for me as a newborn. Due to the rather imprecise nature of “eyeballing” the original pair to write the pattern, a gauge was not really possible.
However, a few notes:
Sock yarn will likely create a slightly smaller bootie, and thicker baby yarn will create a slightly larger bootie. Differences in hooks will also create different sized booties. I used a size 2.25 mm hook for this pair.
