A simple beanie style hat, suitable for beginner knitters, with a ribbed band and the main body is Stocking stitch. It is knitted in the round, so no need to sew it up at the end! It is a very flexible pattern to adjust to the sizes you need, it uses less than a ball of wool (100g) so is great for a destash project! This specific pattern used a ‘lighter’ chunky wool which I think is more like a thick Aran weight. The pattern is for an average size women’s hat but can be adjusted up and down. It is a very quick knit so great to take with you on trips away rather than taking a larger project! Suggestions for casts on for different sizes and wool weights will be included at the bottom.
