I remember wandering around Grandma’s flower garden and picking a bouquet of Lily of the Valley to give to her. It just so happened that Grandpa called Grandma “Lily.” What a simple but beautiful flower and what a wonderful fragrance.

This rectangular stole is worked in one piece. Alternating strips of Lily of the Valley and an Elongated Leaf pattern create Grandma’s Lily Garden. The stole is edged with a simple garter stitch border. The lace patterns are written, not charted.

The Knit Picks website shows that Alpaca Cloud Lace Yarn is suggested, but the shawl was knit in Knit Picks Shadow Lace Yarn. The Alpaca Cloud is not a good choice because it is very slippery and the nupps would be extremely difficult to construct.
