This shawl collar dog sweater gives your pup that cozy grandpa vibe. the not too fussy braided cable at the collar edge, gives it just that little bit of fun. The mitered collar construction gives a flexible fit to accommodate both slimmer necks and those adorable pug sized necks. The body is fairly simple with a little shaping and rib at the belly for a comfy fit. Options for both male and female dogs are included. Purl Soho’s Season Alpaca gives a buttery soft feel and gorgeous color options, but it should work well with most sport weight yarns. 1 (2, 2, 3, 4) skeins Season Alpaca (Purl Soho) 100g/ 218 yds, sport weight

• US 3, 16-inch circular needles

• A set of US 3, double pointed needles

• 3.25-3.75mm crochet hook (this will be used for picking up stitches so size does not need to be exact)

• stitch markers, including 1 of a unique color or shape for end of round

• 2 stitch holders or scrap yarn

24 stitches and 32 rows = 4 inches in stockinette stitch
