Grandpa's Sweater Pot Holder/Hot Pad
Supplies needed to complete project:
about 2 oz. (1 ball) of worsted weight cotton
size I-9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
smaller hook or yarn needle for weaving in ends
stitch marker or length of scrap yarn (optional)
The finished example measures 8” x 8” x 1/2”.
Use this thick and pretty pad to pull cookie sheets from the oven or to protect your counters from hot items. Instructions are for a pocket type and a standard pot holder/hot pad. Although the example doesn’t show it, a basic hanging loop is included in the pattern.
This complex looking pattern is worked using basic stitches. The pictured example was crocheted using Pisgah Peaches n’ Creme worsted weight cotton yarn. All instructions use American terminology and standard abbreviations.
One of the photos shows the pot holder along with the matching towel and scrubby which are both available separately.
