Granite Man Socks with Shaped Toes
Here is a quick & easy sock pattern with special features:
- stretchy leg & foot accommodates a variety of foot widths
- shaped toes with long taper
- customize for any foot length
- cuff-down construction
- Kitchener Stitch woven toe closure
Make it in a stretchy, washable wool blend for easy care.
Difficulty level: Moderately Easy, some experience making socks is advised. You will need to know how to make all the stitches listed below, as they are not described in the pattern.
Stitches Used: knit (K), purl (P), slip (sl), slip-slip-knit (ssk), knit 2 together (K2tog), purl 2 together (P2tog), pick up & knit (pu&K), and Kitchener Stitch for toe closure. pm = place marker
Materials:
- worsted weight wool-blend yarn, 120g (186 yards) (model used Moda Dea Vision in Granite colour)
- size US 5 (3.75mm) 31” circular needles, or DPNs if you prefer
- yarn needle for Kitchener Stitch toe and to weave in ends
- 2 stitch markers
