Granny Clergy Scarf Stole
Originally conceived as a clergy stole, this could easily be reconfigured into a scarf by assembling three columns instead of one. One could easily control the length of the scarf by controlling the number of squares.
Not intended as a clergy stole for grannies, but rather a clergy stole for anyone, composed of granny squares. Three types of granny squares—traditional, solid, and a mix of the two—are pieced together to make the long, narrow stole traditionally worn by clergymen and woman with their vestments. This works well with any solid liturgical color, or with any mix of solid colors. A planned succession of solid colors, such as with a rainbow spectrum of colors, would work particularly well. Alternately, it could be used as a stash buster with a truly random mix of colors.
