This pattern uses simple granny squares and single crochet ribbing to create a unique but timeless pair of fingerless gloves to keep you warm. You may use as many as seven different colors or as few as one or two colors for your design.

The granny square is not my design, it is very common in crochet and you can easily find video tutorials, but in this pattern I will explain how to make one.

In this pattern, we will be working in the round to create granny squares. We will then use a yarn needle to sew granny squares together, leaving openings for the wrist and fingers. Lastly, we will add ribbing and crochet a border for the finishing touches. It’s as simple as that!
