The Granny Handles/Straps are ideal to attach to a crocheted bag or as straps on a top. The length is adjustable.
SKIL LEVEL
Beginner/Intermediate. When you need to know how it’s done, you can watch the video tutorial too.
MATERIALS
Used yarn: Rio Uni cotton yarn (50g/125m) from Lammy Yarns or other comparable cotton yarn. These handles can be made with just one basic color. Or can be made with multiple colors, 1 basic color for the first 4 rows + edging and different colors for each 2 rows (for this size of handles for the bag there are 19 different colors possible)
Size 2.5 mm (US B/1 or C/2, UK 13 or 11) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Row counter
Yarn needle
Scissors
Sewing needle and sewing thread to sew the handles/straps to a bag/top
Ball Head pins to sew the handles/straps to a bag/top
MEASUREMENTS
The Granny Handle/Strap measures approx. 62 x 4 cm (= approx. 24,5 x 1,57 inch) for the bag. The length is adjustable.
GAUGE
22sc en 24 rows = 10x10 cm (4 inch).
SPECIAL STITCHES
