Yarn: Worsted Weight 4 (Sample: 70% Wool, 30% Nylon - 250 yd/225m 150g/5.29 oz - 1.5 Skeins) - Any fiber content works.
Hook: 6mm/J-10
Notions: Stitch markers, yarn needle, scissors, measuring tape
Skill Level: Easy
Gauge: (After blocking) Scarf: 13 Pattern Sts = 4” X 7 Pattern Rows = 4”
Granny Squares: 15 Pattern sts = 4” X 5 Pattern Rows
Size: (After blocking)Granny Squares = 6”X6” sq. Scarf w/o squares = 60 ½ ” Length X 5 ½” Wide
Pattern Key: Ch=Chain, Tc=Triple crochet (aka treble crochet), Sc= Single crochet, Dc= Double crochet, Sl St= Slip st, st(s)=Stitch(es)
Notes: This pattern is worked in 5 parts (Scarf, Scarf edging, Granny squares, Pockets/Border, Finishing).
Scarf is worked in rows, beg/turn chains DO NOT count as a stitch.
Granny squares are worked in rounds, beginning chain DOES count as a stitch.
Blocking is necessary before joining granny squares to the scarf and to line up the pockets.
