Granny Square Bucket Hat
It feels like granny square hats are just about THE most popular thing right now. I can’t go anywhere with mine on without an admiring comment or an inquiry from people wondering where they can get one!
This pattern is a simple guide to making yours. Written in UK terminology with US in brackets on the stitch list. It’s literally just one stitch so not complicated at all to translate.
In this pattern, I get you to make the top section first, set aside and make 5 granny squares, then add the top edge and brim and then assemble the whole thing.
You need a 4mm hook.
3x colours of your choice in an Aran yarn (or two threads held together of a thinner yarn - experiment with different thicknesses, I love the finish of tight crochet, even tohugh making it gives me hand cramp! ; )
The instructions are for a tweenie/teen to adult size, but I’ve noted on there an easy tip to fit a smaller head too.
