This pattern uses a slight deviation from the traditional granny square to enable a curving/cupping of the sides. The pattern is the same for 8ply (DK) and 10ply (WW) cotton - the end result will be a larger bag! 4 inch ring handles have been used in this pattern and I would recommend 5 inch ring handles if using 10ply, however any appropriate sized handle type will do as the top edges are secured through the ring by stitching in place. Suitable for beginners who are looking for a more challenging project.
