Granny Square Pop-Over
If you’ve been betrayed by the British weather as often as I have, or simply live in warmer climes, sometimes you don’t need the bulk of a jumper underneath your jacket, but still want something a little cosy. Enter the Granny Square Pop-Over.
Whether you wear yours as a warming vest over a shirt, or peeking out from beneath your winter coat, you can feel stylish and snug in your classic crochet cover-up. Avoid those tropical moments in overheated shopping centres, and those brisk chills on your neck on dog walks, this versatile top will be your go-to for all those in-between weather days.
This is a made to measure pattern so you can use any yarn, fibre and hook you have to hand. Meterage will vary greatly depending on your chosen size and yarn, I used approx. 350m to make my size M aran samples.
Pattern is also available for free as a blog post on this website.
