The pattern is written in US Standard Terms
Ch 3 at the beginning of the row counts as a stitch.
I used two colors of the same yarn, that is the pink and cream part.
If you decide to use 2 colors, make each row to the end and pick up the next color from where it is. Sometimes you might leave the working yarn hanging and go back to pick up the next yarn.
