Granny Square Tree
This is a pattern for a tabletop granny square Christmas tree. It is worked in Metallic threads and they are a bit slippery so leaving a bit of a tail to weave in helps to secure the squares together. The thread also frays easily giving the piece a bit of a “hairy” look which adds to it’s charm. A battery light string can be added inside for a nice touch. The piece is worked in join on the go motifs and then they are crochet joined together around a purchased wire tree form.
