Granny Square Vest
This granny square vest is made using a slightly larger 3.5mm crochet hook and 100% pure cotton yarn. Each granny square measures approximately 11cm by 11cm, resulting in a relatively large pattern. The overall number of granny squares used is fewer, giving the vest a more refreshing look.
The vest is sized between M and L. If a larger size is needed, you can add more granny squares in the middle of the panels.
The pure cotton yarn used in the design is made up of fine strands twisted together, weighing around 300 grams and measuring approximately 650-700 meters. Since the yarn is manually twisted, there may be some discrepancies in length.
The entire vest is made in one color, but those who enjoy colorwork can switch colors at appropriate intervals.
The joining method used this time is “join-as-you-go,” so once all the granny squares are crocheted, most of the work is done. For finishing, a 3.9mm 40cm circular needle is used to knit 1x1 ribbing around the neckline, armholes, and hem. Because I like the combination of crochet and knitting in one garment, there will be more designs like this in the future.
Friends who love granny squares can start crocheting a vest themselves.
