This is my second contribution for this year’s Christmas season. It is a granny square prototype that can be used by itself as a coaster (with the plastic ring), or you can crochet many (without the plastic ring) and assemble to make a doily, a blanket, or any other Christmas themed home decoration. It is a little bit different than the wreath ornament I’ve made in the previous post, though they have the same concept. I hope you like it.

Materials

• Yarn: Schachenmayer, Catania, 100% cotton, yarn weight: sport. 50 g/ 1.75 oz. 125 m/ 137 yds. one skein of each: White 106, apple green 205, red 115, forest 244
• Crochet Hook: US: E-4, 3.5 mm.
• Plastic ring: 5.5 cm/ 2.25” diameter, 0.7 cm/ 1/4” thickness
• Tapestry needle

Measurements: 5” x 5” / 12.5 cm x 12.5 cm square
