Granny Wrap
Envelop yourself in granny square luxury with this oversized granny wrap. Its generous width allows for complete shoulder coverage. And, its lavish length means you can double wrap for even more warmth when it gets colder.
Does a large granny square project seem intimidating? This wrap is perfect for you if you hate to sew all those squares together. By joining each square as you go and weaving in the ends as you join each square to the larger piece, your wrap will be almost complete once you reach the border. Made entirely of granny squares, the wrap is finished off with a combination of the traditional granny stitch and a playful pompom fringe.
Construction: 114 3-rnd granny squares are joined as you go using slip stitches along the joining edges. The 2-rnd border is both traditional granny stitch and pompom fringe.
Yarn: Takes 8 skeins of the main color and 2 of the contrasting color in worsted weight.
Skill level: Confident beginner
The pattern includes detailed instructions for working the squares and how to join them. Charts and grids show stitch and square placement. A video tutorial demonstrates how to make the pompoms.
