This is pattern is for a granny square with a Bumble Bee suspended within it. The final round is finished in traditional granny style.

This square pattern can be used to create any granny square project, for example a blanket or pillow using a join of your personal preference.

The PDF pattern is in a written format with many detailed pictures to guide you and a conversion chart to UK terminology for your convenience.

I recommend that you use a 4mm hook and DK weight acrylic or cotton yarn.
My tension is 5 rows of 10 DC will give you a 7cm x 6 cm rectangle.
My Granny’s A Busy Bee square is 15cm x 15cm working to this tension, weighing in at 15 grams once the tails are sewn in.
You can change your hook and yarn size according to your preference and tension depending on your project plans.

You will need a small amount of at least five colours for one complete square, a pair of scissors and a needle to weave in your ends.
