Granny's House Advent Shawl
Granny’s House is the fifth in my series of crocheted Advent projects. It features an oversized triangular shape, crafted using a variation of the traditional granny stitch. The color layout is planned in advance to ensure a smooth, harmonious progression through the colors as it is worked.
While its dimensions may appear capacious, the shawl’s intricate openwork pattern and graceful drape allow it to be effortlessly wrapped like a warm and cozy scarf perfect for riding over the river and through the woods on the coldest of nights.
Yarn: One Barker Wool Advent box containing twenty-four 20g mini skeins and one 100g skein of Fern or approximately 580g of fingering weight yarn in contrasting colors.
Finished Measurements: approx. 100” wide x 45” deep.
Hook: E (3.5 mm).
Gauge: 6 shell clusters x 10 rows = 4” x 4” in pattern
