Pattern is for both a 6” X 5” skull applique AND a 10” granny square made from the applique.

Skulls are a favorite with the guys, especially the realistic spooky ones like this. Just think how your teen skater kid (or grandkid) will love you for making a beanie with this applique. Or how about those Tampa Bay Buccaneer fans out there? Don’t forget those Grateful Dead fans and just about any “tough” guys you know and love. Sew it on a jacket, biker vest, or make that hard to please biker dude a set of couch pillows for his man cave. It’s also useful for a Halloween or a Day of the Dead decorative piece. And while you can find a lot of stylish skulls out there, THIS skull is the most realistic I’ve ever seen in crochet. I literally held it up to an anatomy text book skull drawing as I designed it.

Can be made with any thread or yarn but I designed it for your standard worsted weight yarns, either wool or acrylics or blends.

Skill level is Average… medium… It’s pretty basic. Stitches used are single crochet, double crochet, slip stitch, half double crochet, treble crochet and a standard puff stitch which I’ve included directions for. This pattern uses standard abbreviations and includes a chart that explains all abbreviations.
