The Granularity Hat is an easy crochet hat that includes instructions for 10 sizes, from newborn with a 15” head circumference, to Adult-Large with a 24” head circumference.

Granularity uses only 2 stitch patterns: an easy yarn-over slip stitch for the brim ribbing, and a single / double crochet combo for the body of the hat. The brim is crocheted flat then joined. The hat body starts by picking up stitches around the brim, then crocheted in rounds. Finally, the top is closed like a drawstring. A pom is optional. The pattern includes instructions and yardage for 2 sizes using the Clover Pom Maker.

The pattern includes pictures for the brim’s yarn over slip stitch pattern, joining the brim edges together, and picking up stitches around the brim.

Yardage listed is for the hat only. An additional 20 yards is needed for the 2 1/2” pom, and 44 yards for the 3 3/8” pom.

The Socorro Hat sample shown is the Adult-Small, and uses Heartland Mount Rainier.

Clover Pom Maker, 2.5 inch size = 20 yards (100 wraps per side)
Clover Pom Maker, 3.375 inch size = 44 yards (200 wraps per side)
