Grape Hyacinth is a textured doily named by my tester, Karen Steyskal. She says the pineapples remind her of a Grape Hyacinth flower. This pattern is a classic style with modern texture. I have used popcorn stitches, front post and back post stitches, picots, and cluster shells. 400 yards of size 10 thread and a 1.75 mm hook yielded 17.5 inches for Aunt Lydia brand thread and 16 to 16.5 inches for Alize Miss, Scheepjes Maxi Sugar Rush and Artiste Brand. It is spectacular in purple, but any color could be used.
