The Grapefruit Fizzle shawl is a large, beaded triangular shawl worked sideways. The garter stitch triangular edging is worked simultaneously with the shawl body, made up of a diamond lace motif on a stockinette background. This pattern is charted. Increases in the shawl body continue until the center back, and then decreases are worked to the other tip. Suggestions are given for altering the finished size of the shawl, but to maintain the lace edging it will change the finished size by approximately 11 inches and will significantly alter the required yardage.

The large finished size makes this shawl versatile for wearing traditionally around the shoulders, tying in front, or wrapping as a kerchief (with the center point in front). Farro has an interesting texture and provides warmth with the breathability of cotton. A sprinkling of beads adds sparkle without excess weight, and would look great in either a contrasting or complimentary color to the yarn.
