The first in a beautiful series of decorated wine, champagne and theme liquor bottle art sweaters. It makes beautiful gift wrap or decoration on the liquor shelf. Bottle sleeve for this design is easy to knit in the round using Malabrigo Rios yarn, yielding 3 bottles from 1 skein. Fun to embellish from stash, I used Nashua Julia for the top-work. This sweater is designed for 10 ¼ inch circumference bottle (standard wine bottle), but easily adjustable for taller bottles. I left bottom open so bottle sits flat and I left top of neck open for easy pouring. I love the hand painted yarns for the bottle sleeve but any worsted weight yarn is fine. Several of my designs use Cascade 200 and Brown Sheep Lambs Pride. This design also fits S. Pellegrino 750ml water bottles if knit ½ inch taller.
