DIRECTIONS FOR FIVE BLANKET SIZES:
Approximate sizes after blocking…

Baby/Infant: 30” wide x 35.25” long
Small/Crib/Lap Blanket: 37.5” wide x 39.5” long
Medium Throw: 41.5” wide by 43.75” long
Large Throw: 45” wide x 48” long
XL Afghan: 48.75” wide x 56.5” long
Any of the blanket sizes may be made longer by adding pattern repeats. Each pattern repeat adds about 4.25” to the length of the blanket. Pattern includes estimates for additional yardage needed to make blankets longer.

SKILL LEVEL: Easy

You will need to know how to cast on stitches, knit and purl confidently, read a row by row knitting pattern, bind off stitches and weave in ends.

For best results, blocking of finished blanket is recommended.

SUPER BULKY YARN:

Baby: 440 - 460 yards
Small: 615 - 640 yards
Medium: 745 - 775 yards
Large: 880 - 920 yards
XL: 1150 - 1200 yards

This pattern will work well with many super bulky weight yarns. I loved using Valley Yarns ‘Valley Superwash Super Bulky’ from WEBS yarn store.

You may also experiment with knitting two strands of bulky or worsted weight yarn together…remember you will need about twice as much yardage!

Be sure to buy additional yarn if you plan to add length to your blanket.

The texture of the pattern will show up best with solid color yarns.

GAUGE:
Stockinette stitch with US size 15 needles: approximately 8.5 stitches & 11 rows = 4”

Exact gauge is not essential.

NEEDLES:

In order to accommodate the large number of stitches, long circular needles are highly recommended.

Written pattern with row by row instructions. This pattern uses standard U.S. knitting terms.
