They say that if you hear a mysterious purr with no earthly cat nearby, it might be Gray the Grim Reapurr in search of lost souls. But don’t worry- there’s no need to panic. Underneath that unnerving gaze, Gray is secretly just trying not to trip on that darn cloak!

This 11-page crochet pattern contains all of the instructions and photos you will need in order to create your own grim reaper cat and scythe. There is also an additional 5-page printer-friendly version of the pattern included. This pattern has been thoroughly tested and proofread to be easy to follow. You are welcome to sell finished objects made from this pattern.

The recommended yarn/hook combo will result in a project ~6in/15cm tall. However, feel free to use your preferred yarn/hook combo. Using a thicker yarn will result in a larger finished project. The pattern is written in English using US terminology. Basic crochet techniques and stitches (magic ring, single crochet, double crochet, half-double crochet, slip stitch, chain, increase, invisible decrease, and working into front/back-loop stitches) are used in this pattern. There are also color changes at the ends of rounds. Instructions are provided for face shaping and the invisible finish/color change.

Materials:
Yarn: Cotton sport (#2) weight yarn or yarn of your choice (~138yd/125m)
Hook: 2.75mm or the appropriate hook for your yarn
