The inspiration for this blanket stems from memories made while backpacking in Greece many years ago. Greece holds such a special place in my heart. I remember arriving on islands often by small boat, sometimes on choppy seas, late at night and might camp on a beach till I was woken by a glorious sunrise. Then I’d wander up to the local village passing old windmills, bougainvillea plants, exploring the streets and steep, narrow cobbled lanes till I’d reach the top for the best view of a sunset which was usually by a monastery or church. I have tried to capture all those elements in this pattern.

The main 5 pattern components are:
• Sailing boats
• Windmills
• Urns with Bougainvillea
• Village street scene
• Sunset scene by church
• 2 patterns can be used to divide the sections – one representing ancient Greek symbol/waves, the other represents narrow cobbled lanes.

This pattern uses the overlay mosaic technique. Suitable for beginners.

Each pattern is 168 stitches + 2 border stitches = 170 total.
Full compliment of patterns together = 225 rows.
Sample size is approx 110cm width 130cm length

All patterns are interchangable + each section can be ordered in any way you like. You could also add the name of your favourite island eg SANTORINI, NAXOS etc. using one of the many mosaic alphabet charts available on Ravelry.

There are also notes + instructions on how to make a matching pillow/cushion cover.

Terminology is DC, sc + Bst. = Double crochet, Single crochet + Border stitch.

Written patterns include photos with special notes in each section. All charts with Xs. Larger horizontal charts for printing included.

Charts ONLY for left-handed crocheters. All charts have been reworked for left-handed crocheters - skip straight ahead to page 52.

Yarn used : Approx 5 skeins of background color, 2-3 skeins of turquoise + 1-2 pink using 100g balls.
Each 100g = 307 yards (281 meters)

A plain envelope border is used to hide the ends.

Το πατρόν/σχέδιο Κυκλαδίτικο Όνειρο αποτελείται από πέντε σχέδια
1.βαρκούλες/καραβάκια
2.παραδοσιακούς ανεμόμυλους
3.Πιθάρια με μπουκαμβίλιες
4.δρομάκι στο χώρο
5.ηλιοβασίλεμα δίπλα σε μοναστήρι.

Το κάθε σχέδιο είναι 170 πόντους + 225 σειρές. Το μέγεθος είναι περίπου 1,10μ έπι 1,30 φάρδος μάκρος. Βεβαίως αυτό είναι ανάλογα με το νούμερο βελονάκι που χρησιμοποιείται και τι μέγεθος έχουν τα νήματα. Αν θέλετε μεγαλύτερη κουβέρτα απλός θα κάνετε επιπλέον επανάληψη.

Το σχέδιο είναι γραμμένο με δύο τρόπους για δεξιόχειρας - 1 με τα πινακάκι και 2 με γραπτό τρόπο. Έχω γράψει κάθε πόντο σε κάθε σειρά.

Για αριστερόχειρας υπάρχουν ΜΟΝΟ πίνακες.

Το πατρόν έχει δοκιμαστεί από τέσσερα άτομα. Για να κάνετε αυτό το σχέδιο το μόνο που χρειάζεται να ξέρετε είναι ποδαράκια και άρρηκτα.
