Knit a cozy cowl using traditional Greek Key designs! This hat was designed in celebration of my “Big Fat Greek Crafty Tour” to Athens with PeaceTree Fiber Adventures in September 2024. While we were in Greece, we be toured pottery studios, took weaving and mosaic workshops, and MUCH more! Read about the trip here.
The Greek Key design in a traditional Greek design, often called the “meander” that represents infinity and the undulating flow of life. The cowl uses two colors of DK weight yarn and the beautiful geometric designs are worked in simple-to-execute Mosaic Knitting. Mosaic knitting is worked with one color at a time and utilizes slipped stitches to create colorwork patterns. The design works perfectly with mosaic knitting, as Greek Keys are linear patterns.
