Green & Pink Mohair Sweater

An easy knitting pattern for beginners / advanced beginners, with clear instructions, photo illustrations and tips.

Sweater is knitted in stocking stitch with 1 x 1 rib stitch at edges.

Sweater is knitted bottom up on both circular and straight 5.5 mm needles.

Available in one size, L / XL: UK size 16 / 18 or US 12 / 14.

The sweater is slightly oversize and is a boxy shape.

A total of 2270 meters (2482 yards) of yarn is needed for this sweater. The yarn is knitted double throughout.

This pattern uses:

Colour 1 (white): one strand of each knitted together:
2x balls of Hobbii Soft Alpaca Lace in white (01) colour
4x balls of NoryYarns (Etsy): Mohair Silk in linen colour

Colour 2 – (light pink): two strands knitted together:
1 ball of NoryYarns (Etsy): Mohair Silk in baby pink colour

Colour 3 – (dark pink): two strands knitted together:
1 ball of NoryYarns (Etsy): Mohair Silk in coral colour

Colour 4 – (green): two strands knitted together:
1 ball of NoryYarns (Etsy): Mohair Silk in lime colour

Other similar weight silk / mohair yarns could be substituted. More information is given in the pattern.

Gauge:
Knitting tension is 19 stitches and 24 rows / 10 x 10 cm (4”) square, knitted in stocking stitch on 5.5 mm needles.

Actual sweater measurements, when measured flat:
Chest: 59 cm
Length: 66 cm
Sleeve length to shoulder join: 48 cm.

Needles:
5.5 mm / US 9 straight and circular.
