GREEN EARTH PRODUCE BAGS
Replace those flimsy plastic bags in the produce section of your supermarket or farmer’s market for reusable, washable and lightweight produce bags made from strong, 100% mercerized cotton.
The pattern has instructions for 3 bag sizes which stretch and can accommodate all types of vegetables and fruit.
They can also be used to carry or store toys, seashells, shoes or almost anything. You can choose from a large range of wonderful colors to make your bags.
This project is dear to me because in a small way we are helping to keep plastic waste out of our oceans and landfills.
SKILLS
This is an easy level crochet pattern suitable for the beginner with some experience. Detailed step by step photo tutorials are included so anyone can be successful in making the bags.
Stitches and techniques used include single crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, slip stitch join, crocheting both sides of a starting chain, working in the round.
