Green Giant Cabled Ski Hat is meant as a complement to my pattern Green Giant Fingerless Mitts. Like the mitts, it is a very quick knit with minimal yardage required.

The super bulky yarn and big needles work this hat up in no time! The fabric produced is warm and thick, which is why the decrease area at the crown of the hat remain “standing” and holds up the pom pom very neatly.

This pattern is suitable for advanced beginners who would like to try knitting in the round and/or cabling for the first time as the stitches are very easy to see and there is only one simple cable motif. For more advanced knitters, this is an incredibly quick knit and would make lovely gifts for the people in your life needing a stylish and toasty head.
