Green Hills Beanie
“Green hills” is a beautiful, light, and warm beanie crocheted bottom-up and in the round.
It is quite quick project that can be worked in a few hours.
The colorwork is very simple : the stitch pattern does all the work ! while you are crocheting stripes, it results in motifs !
I used a soft DK yarn with 25% mohair to work this beanie : a tweedy green as main color, and a light beige as contrasting color, but any yarn of your choice corresponding to the gauge will do just as well.
The pompom is of course optional.
Instructions are written in US crochet terms.
Skills required :
- basic crochet stitches (slipped stitches, chain, double crochet) ;
- crochet in the round ;
- changing colors.
- make a pompom (if you wish to add one).
The pattern is written, but a (very simple) chart is also provided.
This unisex pattern comes in 2 sizes:
woman (W) 50.5-56 cm/20-22”;
man (M) 56-61 cm/22-24”.
