This pattern was inspired by a visit to the lush rolling green hills of my home state of Pennsylvania.

The pattern is borderless/floating pineapples, crocheted from the top center down with simple modified body pattern stitch border for finishing. No complicated stitches used - simple chains, single crochet and double crochet stitches. Recommended for Advanced beginning crocheters and beyond.

Because the border is a modified body pattern repeat, you can make this shawl as big or as small as you want without having to do any complicated calculations to adjust the border stitches.

A size “G” hook was used for the original item, you can adjust the hook size to your own personal preference, gauge is not important for this pattern.

Original used 2 balls of Chroma fingering weight yarn in the “Seaweed” colorway which has now been discontinued - the “New Leaf” colorway looks to be similar and would probably give a similar result.
