Green Mountain Mitts
A handy pair of quick to crochet mitts you can wear over your other outerwear for an extra layer of warmth as the cold wind blows or just alone fireside while enjoying a book fireside apres-ski.
Kick back, grab your favorite afghan hook and your precious skeins from the wonderful world of wool that is Green Mountain Spinnery and just relax over a cup of tea as these mitts flow off the hook and onto the hands lucky enough to receive them.
Keeping patterns simple and easy to modify to suit a wide range of fit preferences is important to me. So if you want to make your mitts bigger, chain more stitches to begin and add additional rows as needed to suit. As tested both pairs weighed in at 44g each so there is plenty of yardage if you have one skein of each yarn to use.
If you would prefer a larger thumb hole, chain more than six stitches and skip the same number on the body of the mitt as you continue working in pattern.
