Green Tara Mittens
by SpillyJane
Mittens with a Latvian motif, re-imagined in a very cosmic colourway.
Green Tara is a dynamic, compassionate deity who aids anyone who calls upon her. She relieves anxieties and removes obstacles. Her name is Sanskrit for “star” and her mantra is Om Tara tuttare ture soha. Try chanting it - it’s very soothing!
Instructions are provided in this pattern to produce both regular and fingerless mittens, so you can wear them most of the year, if you like.
This pattern contains simple colourwork and as such is uniquely suited to those who have never tried the technique before. Go on, colourwork is not as hard as you may think!
