I was inspired to design this shawl by the color of the roving that I used to spin this yarn. It reminded me of one of the green fields at Muttontown when I go hiking. The colors remind me or spring.

This shawl is a shallow crescent shaped shawl, utilizing short rows for its shape. Any soft self striping fingering weight yarn will work with this pattern. A variegated yarn would also look nice. You can use any handspun fingering or sock yarn with long color repeats

Gauge is not crucial when making this shawl, but if you use DK or worsted weight the shawl will be larger than indicated.

Size 6 US needle is used for the short row body.
Size 5 US needle is used for the lace section edging
