This is a pattern for a cabled shawl. (There are also instructions for a traditional scarf contained within the pattern.

This shawl is knitted with sport weight yarn. The shawl is approximately 18 inches x 74 inches, but can be altered as stated above, and the shawl requires approximately 1000 - 1100 yards. The focal cable stitch is a little known Aran cable, but is unique and “textured” enough to stand on it’s own. It’s actually a double cable.

The shawl is warm enough to take you through 3 seasons, even though it was knit with sport weight yarn, specifically Arroyo (in colorway Peachy) by Malabrigo. it was expertly tested by Mimi Seville, who can be contacted at: Karal3@yahoo.com

The stitches are both charted and written out, however it is always helpful if you can refer to a chart.

Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cabling .)

There are also instructions for an optional crocheted border, should you want it edged. However, this is the ONLY crochet in the pattern.
