Greta
Greta is a raglan sweater combining knitting with crochet. Sleeves and neck-ribbing are knitted and bodice and sleeves-cuffs are crochet. Using a fine cashmere lace for the crochet bodice makes for a very soft but structured sweater.
Greta echoes Swedish practicality with a hint of glamour. There are various ways to compose the sweater. You may play with color blocking and you may let different kind of fibers interact. And you may use that lace yarn that comes in plenty.
The finer the lace yarn (two strands) the better for the crochet bodice, or one strand of fine fingering weight, to create a light crochet structure that resembles a fine weave.
Yarn
The crochet parts consists of two strands of 2ply lace.
The sleeves are knitted with one strand of fingering weight + one strand of 2ply lace.
The ribbing is knit with three strands of 2ply lace.
All sections are equally in thickness.
You can choose any yarn that knits up to gauge.
Yardage
Roughly based on the yarn used for the prototype.
Bodice, neckline and cuffs: 2400(2500, 2600, 2700, 2800)y of 2 ply lace, knit with 2 strands.
