The crochet stitches include, sc, hdc, dc, tr and sl st and front loop and back loop work. This pattern includes complete list of abbreviations used, complete instructions and picture tutorials.

Skill level: Intermediate
Materials: bedspread weight cotton thread (size 10)
15 yards light peach (or choice of skin color)
16 yards cream (or choice of blouse, socks, apron, cookie decoration, vest ties and ruffle color)
5 yards forest green (or choice of vest color)
24 yards mint green (or choice of skirt and scarf color)
2 yards fudge brown (or choice of shoes color)
5 yards coppery mist (or choice of gingerbread cookie color)
Small amount red (or choice of mouth color) Could also use embroidery floss
2 skeins golden yellow (or choice of hair color) embroidery floss
Small amount of green embroidery floss or crochet thread (for choice of eye color)
Small amount of polyester fiberfill.
Tapestry needle
Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm)
Washable fabric glue.
Boye Steel Crochet hook size 1 (2.25mm). This is a larger size hook than usually used with thread crochet. Size 1 hook gives the needed gauge to make the correct size of Gretel and makes working with thread crochet easier for those who are not comfortable with thread.
