This washcloth pattern was originally designed and knit for a Ravelry Nerd Wars challenge in July 2011, as a cross-over from Team Epic to Team 1-up.

It was inspired by the Grey Wardens’ gryphon sigil in the Dragon Age video games, as well as the alliance gryphon mounts in the World of Warcraft.

The pattern is a three page PDF. It includes row-by-row written directions, as well as a large chart with quick instructions on the chart page.

I am certain the pattern will work well in a variety of sport weight to DK weight yarn - as long as the yarn produces excellent stitch definition.
