Pattern Features:
A subtle Little Wave Stitch using crossed (twisted) stitches on a background of stockinette stitch panels. Single ribbing worked for both hemline and neckband with selvedge edge stitches used around armhole openings
- Δ CROSSED STITCHES: Crossed or Twisted stitches is working stitches out of sequence, but without using a cable needle
Construction: Worked flat: back and forth in rows, in one piece from ribbed Hemline to armholes, then each section is worked individually on through neckband shaping. Includes full back button closure along with buttonhole placement. Neckband worked from picked up stitches
SKILL LEVEL: EASY TO INTERMEDIATE
Project uses basic stitches/patterns with an easy Little Wave Stitch that makes use of crossed stitches along with simple shaping and finishing
Instructions:
Formatted with line-by-line written instructions given throughout including buttonhole placement, with option to work to measurement
Materials: 261 yards (50 grams)
Light Fingering 3ply (UK, NZ, AU)
Knitting Needles: Pair of 3.25mm (US 3) throughout
OR SIZE NEEDED TO OBTAIN GAUGE
Gauge: Using 3.25mm: 8sts, 10 rows in
1” over Little Wave Stitch based on 3ply

Materials Used: Red Heart Wool Sport by Coats & Clark 3ply in Gray, Sport scraps used for contrasts
Notions: 7 Buttons size 9mm, 1 removable marker or safety pin, Cable Needle used for Neckband shaping (choose a size close to knitting needles used), Darning Needle
- Also will fit: 18” American Girl/Boy Dolls by using a yarn exchange and larger sized needles working from written instructions
Pattern suitable for yarn exchange:
Using Sport #2 weight, (5ply UK, NZ, AU), and going up one needle size (suggested 3.5mm). Yardage will be a variable depending on yarn/needle choice
