NO specific gauge is necessary for this pattern.

1. Dishcloth is worked back and forth in rows from one corner diagonally across to opposite corner.
2. Increases are worked at the beginning of every row until side edges measure as long as desired or a little less than half of the yarn has been used.
3. Decreases are worked at the beginning of every row after increases are completed.
