DESCRIPTION

GRIDDY is a classic and delicate all-over stranded colorwork tee with a boxy silhouette and minimalist finishing details. It features bottom-up seamless drop-shoulder construction, with a folded hem for the neckline and short row shaping for the shoulders and neck. Designed for a lightweight silk with beautiful drape and an extra soft hand, this engaging pattern will result in an all-seasons wardrobe staple.

SIZING

All of my garment patterns are #sizeinclusive to fit up to at least a 60”/150cm full bust circumference.

FINISHED BUST/CHEST CIRCUMFERENCE:
In inches: (35, 39.25, 43.75) [48, 52.25, 56.75] {61, 65.5, 69.75}
In centimeters: (87.5, 98, 109) [120, 131, 142] {152.5, 163.5, 174.5}

To choose your size, measure the circumference of your torso around the fullest part of your bust/chest and choose a size that fits with 8–12”/20–30cm of positive ease at the bust/chest. If you are between sizes, I recommend sizing up, because stranded colorwork creates fabric with significantly less give than other types of knitted fabric (stockinette, garter, etc.).

In the photos, Jacqui (they/them) is wearing is size 8 (64”/160cm) with 8”/20cm of positive ease at the bust and 3”/7.5cm at the bicep. Please note that the widest part of the sleeve will hit the bicep at a lower point in the larger sizes, so there may appear to be slightly more ease at the bicep in the larger sizes than indicated by measurements.

YARN

GRIDDY was designed in Purl Soho Cattail Silk, a fingering weight 100% silk yarn that blooms beautifully when washed, has great drape, and doesn’t curl on unfinished stockinette edges. Plant fibers or lightweight wool yarns work beautifully for this garment as well!

YARN REQUIREMENTS:

Main Color (MC):
(400, 450, 500) 560, 620, 690 {770, 860, 950} yards / (370, 410, 460) 510, 570, 630 {700, 790, 870} meters
