This original sweater shows groups of leaves in contrasting colors near one of its sides. The two-color pattern is mirrored in front and back, and the sweater is thus reversible. The same colors appear again in the double-cord ribs of the body, sleeves, and round neckline. This original but simple design is quickly knitted in plain stocking stitch on a flatbed knitting machine with no extras. The body and one sleeve are knitted sideways first; the two halves of the other sleeve are completed later. The contrasting leave-bands are easily knitted using the short-rows technique.
The pattern is written for small, medium and large sizes (i.e. to fit chest measurements: 84-88 cm, 91-96 cm, and 105-110 cm), plus about 10 cm ease.
Fingering yarn in two contrasting colors, two 100 gr skeins of each color.
Tension dial (in a 1 to 10 scale) for sweater: #9, for ribs #5
