Difficulty level: easy
Size: With the material suggested in this guide, the Grinch will be 13cm. If you use thicker yarn, the Grinch will be bigger.
Materials:
• Yarn: green, red, black, creme. I used Schulana cotinella (100% cotton, 50g/135m).
• Hook: 2mm.
• Scissors.
• Filling material.
• Bead (diameter 4 mm) 2pcs.
• Needle.
Abbreviations
The pattern is worked using US Crochet Terms. Conversions to UK terms are shown below in parentheses:
mr - magic ring
ch - chain stitch
sc - single crochet (dc - double crochet)
slst – slip stitch
inc - increase
dec - decrease
sc blo - sc back loop only (dc back loop only) To make a stitch in the back loop only, you have to insert your hook in the middle of the “v” and grab only the part of the “v” that is further from you, that is the back loop. Next, make the stitch as usually.
