Gritti is a straight cardigan with V-neck-shaping and above-the-wrist-sleeves. The cardigan is worked from the top down in one piece with no seams. The sleeves are incorporated into the upper body, using the “simultaneous set-in-sleeve“ method, developed by Barbara Walker (no short rows). The top half is simply worked in Stockinette Stitch, contrasting subtly with the lower section which features an easy-to-memorize lace-cable pattern. The sleeves are worked seamlessly in the round.

Gritti ist eine gerade geschnittene und verschlusslose Jacke mit V-Ausschnitt und 7/8-Ärmeln. Gestrickt wird von oben nach unten (top-down) ohne Nähte, die Ärmel werden nach der von Barbara Walker entwickelten „simultaneous set-in-sleeve“-Methode gleichzeitig mit den Körperteilen gestrickt (keine verkürzten Reihen). Der obere Teil der Vorderteile, des Rückenteils und der Ärmel ist schlicht glatt rechts gestrickt. Für die unteren Teile wird ein einfaches Loch-Zopf-Muster verwendet. Die Ärmel werden nahtlos in Runden gestrickt.
